Stefan Kirkeby (holding a limited edition copy of The Golden Decade book, soon to be published for wide release) with Golden Decade photographers Stan Zrnich, David Johnson, Gerald Ratto and John Upton. The Golden Decade photographers were among the first class of students to graduate with degrees in Photography from the California School of Fine Arts (now the San Francisco Art Institute) between 1945 and 1955. Headed by Ansel Adams and Minor White, the program boasted some of the country's most celebrated photographers as teachers, including Imogen Cunningham, Dorothea Lange and Edward Weston. Ken & Victoria Ball, who compiled and edited The Golden Decade book, were also in attendance. (Photo: Rebecca Lukens)
